Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups soaked black beans
1/2 cups soaked/cooked millet (grain free, millet is a seed) or soaked/raw gluten free rolled oats
3 tablespoons carob powder or raw cacao powder (or 2 tablespoons if using carob/chocolate chips)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 tsp vanilla stevia
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/2 tsp baking powder
Optional, 1/2 carob chips or chocolate chips
Directions:
Combine ingredients (except not chocolate chips) in a food process or blender until smooth.
Use coconut oil to grease a glass pie pan.
Mix in optional carob or chocolate chips
Pour batter into the pie pan and bake for about 18 minutes.
It is best to cool and even chill in the refrigerator before cutting and serving.
Note: Try another grain or seed like grain, experiment and have fun with this recipe. Some people find they feel better with grain free options like millet, quinoa, and amaranth. Some also find they do better with carob over chocolate. Find yourself a yummy combination that feels good to you.
Note: Other flavors you might consider, cinnamon, cayenne, ginger, orange essence. Enjoy!
