As an Integrative and BioIndividual Nutrition Health Coach, I am experienced in working with individuals and groups of people of all ages as a guide or mentor who empowers clients to take responsibility for their own health, while supporting them to implement and sustain lifestyle and behavior changes through smart goals that will contribute to the achievement of their personal wellness goals.   I have studied all the major dietary theories and use practical lifestyle coaching methods.  Specifically, I have worked with people challenged by allergies, asthma, food and digestive sensitivity, candida, fatigue, autism, ADHD/ADD, inflammation, pain, ideal weight, stress, diabetes, cancer prevention, women’s health, youth wellness, and more.  I recognize no one diet works for everyone, one persons medicine is another persons poison, so I find the foods and lifestyle choices that work best to support my individual and unique clients.  Health coaches serve to complement all health professionals and to help clients develop targeted goals and a viable plan for carrying out regimens prescribed by their medical professionals.  Through health-supportive modifications and beneficial habits, my clients discover an increased quality of life.  As your coach I am committed to helping you reach your full potential.

I am raising two beautiful boys.  I have one child on the autism spectrum who has made leaps and bounds on the road to recovery.  Dietary strategy aimed at relieving the body of burden and restores the microbiome has been life transforming not only for my child but for mea as well.  Through diet and lifestyle changes I said good bye to thirty years of asthma and allergies.

Nature, running trails, mountain biking, paddling, and skiing with my boys, yoga, mind-body, and gardening, are routine passions of mine.   I walk my talk and am passionate about sharing the ripple of wellness.

I am currently in southern Oregon, though, I work with clients virtually from anywhere and am happy to teleconference, skype, or zoom.

As I expand my practice I envision eventually facilitating nature destination wellness immersion programs and summer camps for all ages, youth and families.

Testimonials:

"Lisa Shelton has been essential in my healing. Lisa, lovingly crafts her lessons and insights for you on integrating healing and health. She is “Wholistic”.  She treats the person as a whole.  Not only does she share her amazing, vast knowledge of eating strategies but she integrates compassionate emotional and intellectual support into her advice, insights and counsel.  Lisa has cutting edge knowledge of foods and plant medicine.  As we, together fashioned a healthy, healing eating plan, she supported me along the way.  She was available 24-7, whenever I needed a question answered – or an opinion. Every meeting she delivered to me surprise gifts( foods, books, DVD’s). The surprise gifts for me were a special, exciting bonus – allowing me to try new foods, hers, - read new books and see DVD’s that were relevant for my own personal health goals.  My incurable disease has become more manageable now and has ceased its descending symptom regression.  I hate to imagine what state I would be in if not for the changes she suggested. I highly recommend Lisa to you.  She will help you change your life from the inside to the outside." Rebecca (Elementary School Teacher)

"I experience Lisa as a great and dedicated teacher and an enthusiastic, supportive and visionary woman.  It is clear to me that her commitment to vibrant health has brought an incredible transformation to her own health and also amplified the well-being of her entire family.  She is very knowledgeable, committed to the health of her community and of the earth.  When you work with Lisa, you are working with a fountain of knowledge, dedication, energy and LOVE!" - Rhione Zeixchel (www.threesistersmidwifery.com).

"Working with Lisa really opened my eyes to the importance of proper food combining and incorporating fermented foods into my diet. With her kind guidance and warm support, I really gained a wonderful friend and partner in my journey towards health. I highly recommend working with Lisa"

“Ever since I first met Lisa, nearly 20 years ago, she has been examining health and healing through food. Through the years she has explored a variety of health methods and has had many successes. The deeper she’s gone into health through food and natural methods the more drastic the change I've witnessed in her health. Her physical body and her skin shine with radiance. I believe Lisa has discovered secrets to a healthy body and I believe everyone could truly benefit from her wealth of knowledge.” - Rhonda

“I'm writing to thank you for the useful information you've provided it has been very helpful and I wanted to let you know that it is making a difference in people's everyday lives!” - Gina

In the Media:

“Lisa Shelton explores transformation to a healthier lifestyle - Shelton began ... eliminating processed foods and buying products without the harsh chemicals... I started meeting new people with new ideas,” Shelton-Rohde said. “I experimented with foods and seeing how my body reacted...I decided to go wheat-free and dairy-free as well because I realized dairy and wheat was hindering my system. At that point I was able to leave behind all the pharmaceuticals, antihistamines and inhalers....

With two young children in tow, Shelton said she wanted to improve their health for the future along with her own.  “Children breathe more air, drink more water and eat more food as a percentage of their body weight than adults do,” Shelton-Rohde said. “They are automatically exposed to more toxins than adults, not to mention their bodies and organs are still developing...” Shelton continued to learn that ... her asthma, allergies and other ailments all seemed to boil down to digestive disorders... Shelton ... continued to change her eating habits based on the Body Ecology Diet, eating probiotic foods, reducing sugar content and combining certain foods to help digestion...” - Illinois Valley News, Darcy Wallace, September 28, 2011
